Welcome to "Cancer: A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Workshop, a course in my Astrology & Storytelling series!
This course is designed as a comprehensive three-part deep dive into honoring Cancer’s powerful lessons and themes, allies, planetary ruler, and mythological stories.
The course also provides you with practical tools and resources to understand Cancer's placements in your own birth chart, as well as where Cancer's lessons and stories are alive and seeking expression within you. 🌙
Part I: Deep Diving into the Astrology of Cancer
You will get to explore and learn about:
♋ The Moon’s planetary rulership of Cancer
♋ Tarot and herbal allies associated with Cancer
♋ Landscape and elemental phenomena that embody Cancer’s energy
♋ Cancer’s kindred sign, the practical and pinnacle-reaching earth sign of Capricorn
♋ Cancer season's lessons and themes
Part II: Mythology with Cancerian Themes
We will deep dive into the myth of the Selkie and the seal skin. Selkies are half-seal, half-human beings that represents the liminal lessons and themes of Cancer season. Cancer teaches us to traverse between the sea and the shore, as the mermaids and selkies of lore do, sharing their pilgrimages of transformation.
This part of the course also introduces a personal mythology practice. We play with the Selkie myth, asking where we cast off and put on our seal skins in our lives and how we return home to ourselves.
Part III: Cancer in the Natal Chart
This part of the course introduces fundamental components of astrology that relate to Cancer's themes and how to become familiar with those themes in your birth (natal) chart.
You also receive a practice to draw up your birth chart and understand where your planets are in different signs and houses.
You will also have the opportunity to schedule a 1:1 10-15-minute astrology reading call with me, to explore where The Moon and your Cancer aspects are in your birth chart.

She is a writer of speculative fiction and poetry; lover of mythology and all that is archetypal and fantastical; and a practitioner who revels in weaving creativity from the unseen realms into practical everyday use.
Since 2012, Lauren has worked in international conflict transformation & peacebuilding, inter-personal conflict resolution, education, and storytelling. She is passionate about equipping individuals and communities with resources for self-discovery and empowerment.
